Close Election

recounts... hanging chads... mudslinging... kissing babies, it must be election year. FOR STUDENT COUNCIL!!!! Crazygirl ran for student council this year. There were 2 slots available. One of her best friends got a spot and then Crazygirl TIED with her other best friend. They took out all of the other candidates (not mafia style, this isn't Washington, it's grade school, come on!)) and held a second vote the next day between just the 2 girls. Can I just say, we moms were biting our fingernails...! They tied AGAIN, so the advisor let them both have it. PHEW! Watch out! Crazygirl and her two best buds are running the school. Mudslinging? Only on the playground! Kissing babies? These girls are obsessed with them. Best part is, after school the girls went right to work coming up with ideas to make the school year more fun and safe. Wish some other candidates would take cues from the 6th grade...if you're elected to do something, get right to work and DO IT!

Jorden cant wait until our school gets their student council up an going. Congrats to Crazy Girl. Jorden has had so much fun at the new school this year. She is doing broadcasting, Safety Patrol and DARE so far. It sounds like Student Council might be the next thing on her list of accomplishments. She already told me she wants to try to get on the seventh grade student body officers. So if you know how to get into that, let me know.

Too bad you have to be 35 to run for President, sounds like Crazygirl would whip the USA into shape!
