So as most of you know, but some of you may not, Emily's birth did me in, and we have been trying to adopt for just over a year now. The process is slow, and mentally, emotionally and spiritually draining. It is also incredible, educational, moving, remarkable and spiritually uplifting. We have met some of the most incredible people through this process, and learned a lot about ourselves through it. It is sometimes easy to forget about on a day by day basis, with how busy we are with the girls, but there is always a prayer in our hearts that if it supposed to happen it will. Sometimes a video like this comes along, and it makes me pause and remember all of the feelings we have had about why we are doing this. It is easy to say that we are done, the girls are older, vacations are easier and more fun now, everyone is in school etc. But there is still that little glimmer of hope that someday we may find a birthmom who will bless us with our baby!
This is an old video, but still sweet...

Please keep us and our incredible friends (who are also praying for a miracle for their families) in your thoughts and prayers. We so would appreciate it!

Wow, I don't know how you can have a dry eye after that one....hang in there all of you. God will help your baby find his home.
Just put on my make-up, pulled your blog...now I have to reapply the make-up and find the tissue! You are both wonderful, caring parents and have a fantastic family that knows they are loved (and 2 dogs). It doesn't get much better than that. You're lucky things happened the way they did. That was a scary day and couple of weeks. We're glad we have both you and Emily!! The Lord knows your intent, you've opened your home to lots of family to help and things happen when you don't expect them. (Kind of like going into labor early....hmmm, you already did that). Be patient. Either way, you've done girl and I'm proud of you! Love, Mom
OKAY...because my eyes are stinging and blurry...that last sentence should say "GOOD", not "Girl". Oyevey......Love, Mom
You and Dan are the best parents and such a fun loving family. Our hopes and prayers are with you.
Any baby would be so lucky to have you as parents. We will for sure keep you in our prayers!
