Grandparents day

Bug's 2nd grade did a grandparent's day a few weeks ago. Bug was thrilled that she got to have both Nana and Grandma there! Amanda and I are the room moms, so I got to be there to take some pictures. They sang, listened to stories, did some dancing, crafts and BINGO. They also got to eat lunch with the kids. It was really fun to see the interaction of the kids and their grandparents!

Bug and her class sang songs for the grandparents. Kind of sounded like mo-tab...the early years.

Just in case you were wondering, it doesn't matter what decade you went to school in, or what state, the school gravy always has been and forever will be GREEN.

Seizure-free!!!

Bug had her visit with the neurologist yesterday. She calls him her "nice" doctor. NOT that her regular dr is mean in ANY way...but he is just so charismatic! Of course, every dr we have ever dealt with at Primary Children's Hospital has been incredible! Anyway, she has been seizure free for over 2 years now, so he wants to wean her off the seizure medication. She has a 98% chance of being seizure free now without medication...yea!!!! It is going to take about a month to wean her off the medication, but we are all so excited that she is healthy and doing so well! It was strange walking out of the hospital without a return appt. on our calendar, but I can get used to that very easily!!!!!! Yea Bug!!!!!!

klutzville...population 1

last monday I was running out to my friend Amanda's car to get to the school carnival. It was raining and I was of course in flip flops. I slipped on the top step of our front porch and landed 4 steps below on the landing. I jumped up and with all the adreneline I had made it up to the house into the chair, where I promptly passed out from the pain. I woke to Amanda trying to get me to come to, and on the phone with 911. I ended up with a good sprain on my ankle, and a prescription for Loritab.(YUCK) It hasn't been the most fun week, I finally made it up the stairs on Weds to shower and sleep in our own bed. I am finally able to walk around without the crutches or the big boot. I know it has been a long week when I am looking forward to cleaning the house and doing laundry. I'm also looking forward to getting back into my walking routine!

Charlie's Angel

Grandpa and Grandma just bought a brand new 24' speedboat, and we got to go out on the maiden voyage. We are in love!!!!! That was such a fun afternoon! Crazygirl wanted nothing to do with going, she has never liked boats, but we got her on it, and by the end she was loving it. It was so relaxing, the weather was perfect, we had a blast! Thanks for such a fun day!

Dramaqueen was driving the boat within about 5 minutes of us being out on the water. She was a natural on the boat...loved every second of it!

This is what Bug and Crazygirl looked like when grandpa opened it up to see what the boat could do. Notice how Crazygirl is holding on for dear life, and Bug is holding on to absolutely nothing, but as long as she can't see what is going on... Could be my all time favorite picture EVER!

The girls loved jumping off the boat and swimming around. We loved just hanging out!

Happy Birthday Dan!

A day Late, but this way we get to post pictures! Poor Dan had a bummer of a birthday, with a cruddy work day, and meetings that didn't get him home until 9pm. The girls couldn't wait to serenade him though!!!!
We love you Dan, thanks for being the best daddy and husband ever!

Best FHE ever!

On Monday we went to family night at the Bee's game. Even though we lost 10-4, it was okay, because it was the Sacramento Rivercats who beat us, and that is our old hometown team!!!! After we BBQ'd then played a friendly (?) game of parents vs kids kickball. We beat them soundly, which didn't make them too happy, but boy did running those bases wear us out!

Sydney was playing 3rd base, and was holding on to Dan's leg to keep him from running, he drug her the whole way to home base

Parkers Diabetes walk

This past weekend we were invited to do a fundraising walk for Juvenile Diabetes for Parker. his team was named "Parker's Posse". It was amazing! There were a few thousand people there! After the walk they had a ton of stuff for the kids to do, including a rock wall, bounce houses and face painting. Crazygirl RAN the whole 5k and was finished with all of the above by the time we finished the walk...Crazy! It was fun to hang out with friends...hey Eran, I looked for you! Too bad we couldn't find you guys!
We can't wait to be a part of it next year!
