We spent Weds night at our time share in San Francisco. It was right by Union Square and Chinatown. Dan was in heaven with all of those chinese restaurants to chose from. We ended up on a little side street, in a restaurant that you walk in, then go up a narrow flight of stairs to get to. The food was really good, (and if you know me, you know that Chinese food is NOT in my top 10, or 25, or 100 fave foods!) The food just kept coming, we couldn't even begin to eat it all. Bug was talking to the waiter and told him that she liked hearing him speak Spanish. (aaagh!) He told her that he was Chinese, and was speaking Chinese. She looked at him, cocked her head to the side and said "well it sounds like Spanish to me". We were totally mortified, but he belly laughed and thought she was the funniest thing.
Thursday we headed over to Fisherman's Wharf area, ate yummy sourdough bread, Dan and crazygirl got their fill of clam chowder and seafood, and we had a blast wandering around.
We actually got Crazygirl on a boat. (HUGE accomplishment). She loved it! It was a one hour cruise around the bay, to the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz Island. It was so windy that we had to buy the girls sweatshirts beforehand. They all match, so we looked super touristy. We figured that now that we live out of state, we can be tourists and get away with stuff like that!
