1st day of school for the older girls

Today was the first full day of school for the older two. Crazygirl had an orientation day yesterday, followed by back to school night. We had to get a picture of the group of best buds, all big bad 9th graders and their 7th grade siblings, who are also all best buds! We can't believe how old everyone is getting!

Here is Crazygirl with her friends before orientation day

Can you believe they are freshmen? AAAAGH!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication

This weekend we were able to participate in the dedication of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. On Friday (our anniversary) we were actually able to take 2 of the girls who weren't in school yet and be at the 1st of 9 dedications. We were in the Sealing room, and had the most wonderful experience. It was incredible to be there as they laid the cornerstone, and share that with our daughters. It was also Pres. Monson's birthday, and as they were outside, the group spontaneously sang happy birthday to him, which was fun. Today, we were able to take Dramaqueen to the church for the broadcast of the 7th of 9 dedications. She honestly didn't want to get out of bed, but once she was there she loved it! I really enjoyed the talks given today, it was nice being able to be at 2 of the dedications and hear different remarks at each. We can't wait to go as soon as the temple opens, this is my favorite temple so far...it is so beautiful! Maybe I am just biased because it is ours!

farm time with grandma

I never got around to posting these pictures and they are very significant for one main reason...GRANDMA IS ACTUALLY IN A PICTURE! It is a well known fact in our family that my mom is never in a picture, simply because she is almost always the one TAKING the picture! Kind of like how I am in almost no pictures for the same reason!
While the cousins were up from Ca we got to hang out. Grandma took us to the farm at Thanksgiving point for the afternoon. It was only about 103 degrees out in the middle of the day...no sweat! We went to the Dinosaur museum after to cool off. The kids could go every day if we let them, and thanks to grandma and her fantabulous grandparents pass, they really can!!!
We miss the cousins already... we need to have some kind of family get together where ALL of them are here at the same time...If only Texas was closer, right Dave?
(oh...by the way....I am TOTALLY NOT going to mention how little Mary kissed a cow on the head within about 2 minutes of arriving at the farm...mad cow disease anyone? Sorry Kris..we really were watching her...promise!!!!!)

Parker's Posse

A few months ago one of Bug's best friends was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. You may remember the post of her lying on the couch sobbing...
Anyway! There is a "walk for the cure" for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) on Aug 29th. It is a 5k and our entire family is participating on his team. It is obviously a fundraiser, and we are trying to raise a bit of money to help. If you would like to help, or have just always said to yourself "hey, I would pay good money to see that Foster family do a 5k" then this is for you! Click on the link below and you can donate ANYTHING!

We were so blessed with tons of support when Crazygirl was diagnosed with Kawasaki's disease, and hope that we can return the favor to Parker by helping to raise money to find a cure for Diabetes.

summer concert

Dancingqueen took a summer choir class from her choir teacher. She really loved it,and they had a recital yesterday. She performed a solo in it. It's kind of quiet on the video, but she did really well, and loved going every week!

Birthday Fun

For my Birthday we went down to my mom and Dad's house for a BBQ. It was really fun to just hang out. Like the candle on my cake? It's autumn scented...yummm!

We sent the grandkids out onto the back patio to eat their cake, and they promptly got into a cakefight. It was some pretty thick frosting! Look at poor dramaqueen...she is SOOOOO not happy about gettting blue frosting in her hair. She ended up in grandma's shower.

mission reunion

On Sat we got together with some of our mission friends and had a BBQ. We haven't seen most of them in about 16 years. We commented at the end of the night how weird it was that it wasn't weird! We all picked up as if we have seen each other daily. It was so much fun, and we missed those who couldn't make it. It was great to see everyone's families, between the 9 of us we had about 25 kids! They had a great time playing at the park and going down the slip and slide. We can't wait to see everyone again!!!!

"Doing the P"....this was Dave's (elder P's) signature move

Everyone except Val (she got there about an hour after this picture)
I tried to uplad more pics, but it keeps booting me off, so I will try to add more later!

July Rundown

It has been so long since I last posted!! So much has been happening, I will post tons of pictures later, but here is a rundown... We had a HUGE party for my mom's 60th. It was so fun, and so many friends and family came from around Utah, Arizona and Ca. We were sad that 2 of my brothers couldn't make it at the last minute, but with crazy work schedules and the cost of coming from out of state, we totally understood!!!! My sister Kristy and her family stayed with us this weekend, as well as my best bud from Ca, Heather, who I have known since 2nd grade and her family. We had a fun buffet dinner and a polynesian dance show, then dancing. I loved the venue we had it at, Noah's in So. Jordan. One of my girls will have to have a wedding reception there...she doesn't get a choice!
We have been busy swimming and enjoying the summer that finally decided to show up (since it rained all of June). There are a ton of fun activities planned for the rest of the month with all of the cousins, and we can't wait to spend as much time with them as possible.
Thanks to everyone for your concern over my weird passing out and concussion experience. I found out I have slightly high blood pressure from this whole experience, so am now on meds, but the first group was HORRIBLE and I had a every side effect. He switched me, and I feel great except that I can't fall asleep. AT ALL. So now I am so tired I feel I am going crazy. I have another appt Monday. I am ready to go off of everything and be back to feeling like myself again. That has been the only damper on this whole fun time with family!!!!
